Sonesta Select Newark Christiana Mall

Facility could use a deep cleaning and update, however the staff made my stay excellent! Personable, kind, and more than accommodating. Every one I encountered was respectful and they actually listened! I would come back just for the service! Rooms are not terrible, just outdated and could use new furnishings.

Upon arrival at the Sonesta Select, Newark, DE, we were greeted by Lamont. He was congenial knowledgeable and most of all wanted to know how he could be of assistance. He invited us to provide feedback on our stay at this location and on his performance. The accommodations and facilities were clean and comfortable. The lobby as well as the indoor was impressive. Kiara greeted us on Sunday morning, the 31st. She was equally as friendly and went over and above to ensure we had a comfortable stay, however our room (425) does require minor repairs - the curtain rod was detached on the leftside, the bathroom door edge was splintered and the bath tub faucet drips. Nice place. Had a cozy room with 2 queens. It was clean. Wish they had breakfast on site. Location is great though. There is a Dunkin and another breakfast place(First Watch--which was good)you could walk to. Also a couple minutes from Christiana Mall. Unfortunately for us, we couldn't enjoy the indoor pool as it was too crowded when we were there.

Our experience has been so wonderful staff very approachable helpful. Building very clean smell amazing. There's a laundry room also gym indoor pool. Lobby is large-scale tables and chairs to set eat watch TV We enjoyed our time. We'll be back.

I stay in hotels often for both family leisure and my business. Let me break it down: From the moment you arrive at Sonesta Select, you are warmly welcomed with genuine hospitality and care. The check-in process is always prompt and seamless; the front desk staff goes above and beyond to make us feel at home right away. Every staff member I’ve encountered is always friendly, attentive, and happy to offer their assistance. It’s like they really truly care about each guest, which I have never found at any other hotel. In addition to hospitality, the front desk staff is always good for having recommendations about local attractions, restaurants, etc. which immediately helps set the best tone for my family and I to enjoy a wonderful stay. Our rooms have all been consistently spotless. I have everything I need in the room. First off, the beds are luxuriously comfortable…crisp clean linens and comfortable pillows that ensure me the most restful sleep every time I stay. Every detail—down to the blackout curtains, ample charging outlets, and perfectly quiet atmosphere…I've stayed at many hotels in the area, and have only found this at Sonesta. I especially appreciate this for my business stays, when I need to ensure my best quality sleep, work, and performance in the morning. I wouldn't consider anywhere else ever again. The location is even unbeatable—conveniently close to local attractions, dining, and shopping, while still offering a quiet, peaceful environment to return to at the end of the day. Parking is safe, easy, and accessible. The bathrooms are sparkling, already stocked with everything I need, and the shower honestly has better water pressure than I have at home. I think the housekeeping staff deserve high praise for their attention to detail. No matter which room I have booked, it always feels refreshed and spotless, like its a brand new room set up just for me. In fact the entire hotel maintains a pristine environment. Sonesta Select truly goes above and beyond with their amenities. Their fitness center is my favorite spot to work out in the morning. Its well-equipped and clean, offering everything I need for my full workout. The indoor heated pool is always sparkling clean, incredibly well-maintained every day, and perfect for both my family fun, and solo relaxation. Their high-speed WiFi throughout the property and printer makes working remotely for my business very smooth. When I stay with my family, we can stream my children and partner’s favorite playforms effortlessly. The lobby center is has an additional comfortable lounge area including personal table with outlets- I love this as an added bonus for my work. It is truly a home away from home.

The lady at the front desk with the dark shirt curly hair was a pleasure to deal with and very patient and professional during what seemed like difficult situations for others. The hotel was very clean. Definitely recommend and would book again.

1st time staying in a Delware Hotel, BRANDON @ front desk is the mane for Sonesta, hands down checking in was smooth & fast he accommodated me 100% due to an error from 3party booking. Even got the hot water on for me because the shower was hot & the workers were MIA on that matter but he’s everything to this beautiful Hotel, (VIBES) even got the fire pit going, he’s more then just a front desk person @ Hotel but anytime I’m in DE I’m staying here, & NEVER again at DaysIn, Red Roof +, or Quality Inn. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, the bed was so comfortable, and it was very quiet!! Staff was wonderful! The property was very neat and clean as well. We stayed 2 nights. Places to eat within walking distance.
